The Crescent Isle

I searched through the Myrtle,

On the shores, for the Turtle,

Who lived on the Crescent shaped Isle,

For,

Fortunes he’d tell,

With oracular shell,

Stay,

Won’t you read for a while?

And if,

With myth and Fable,

And magic, I’m able,

To sway a young reader to read,

And teach a new word,

With verse, They’ve not heard,

Then,

I think I’ve succeeded indeed!
