THE DAUGHTER OF THE SKIES

John Francis Campbell (1821 – 1885) was a renowned Scottish author and scholar who specialised in Celtic studies. Campbell gained the world popularity due to his Celtic folklore and Gaelic peoples in particular. Most well-known published works are the bilingual Popular Tales of the West Highlands (4 vols., 1860–62) and The Celtic Dragon Myth, published posthumously in 1911.

A man offered to find them if a daughter marry him, so the father agreed if the daughter consented. He asked each his daughters, and the youngest agreed.
