The Daughter

"The Daughter," is Angela's version of the story in the Fascination With Life series in the first book, "The Longest Five Minutes." This second book tells Angela's account in her own version.

Angela, then a fifteen-year-old daughter of Rene', a single hard-working mom, who had devoted her whole life to raising her daughter. 

Angela had wanted to know who her dad is ever since her first day in the first grade when her teacher asked her students about their family. She was the only student who didn't have a dad in her life. But, going forward on Angela's fifteenth birthday, things changed after that TV evening news report. The reporter was interviewing a man about his experience after the recent disaster. Yes, that man is Angela's absent, unidentified father. After Rene' and Angela had watched the news report, Rene' finally had her long overdue conversation with Angela about who is her real dad. Would Angela want to meet her father? Would Rene' agree to let that happen? Would her real dad want to meet Angela? And, would Angela's Granny have many serious doubts and questions about her only grandchild meeting this absent, irresponsible man? A lot of prayers went up by Rene' looking for the Lord's wisdom and direction in this important matter. This news Rene' had kept from both Angela and Angela's Granny for so many years.   But not long after the above happened, these answers were history. Yet, shortly after another major event happened that would change the lives of all three of these ladies as well as any of the extended family members.
