Seductive techniques? Yeah, no...
To be fair, the heroine is officious and presumptuous. I’m not sure that justifies the verbal and physical abuse being inflicted on her by the “hero” in the name of seduction. I found it truly disturbing. I guess she’s meant to “deserve” it and he’s only showing her “her place”? I enjoy the occasional regency romance, but this one is definitely not to my taste.
