2nd iBook Review
Charlotte Lewis Brown’s The Day the Dinosaurs Died excited me with its detailed pictures and interesting dinosaur names.
The target audience for this book would be for second graders. Kids who like dinosaurs should also read this book.
The tone of the book is suspenseful. It was suspenseful because I did not know if living things would survive the asteroid.
The special features of this book are the realistic illustrations and the author’s note. The illustrations looked almost like they were a real picture. The author’s note had really interesting dinosaur facts.
The characters in the story were believable and unaware. They were believable because the author had the dinosaurs do dinosaur things. They were unaware because they did not see the bright asteroid falling from the sky.
The book is about dinosaurs facing an asteroid. Some of the dinosaurs were a tyrannosaurs rex, a triceratops, and the parasaurolophuses. How did the dinosaurs die? Read to find out!
The book reminds me of Jurassic Park. It reminds me of this movie because of the variety of dinosaurs and how realistic they looked.
I recommend this book because I was enthused while reading it. Even though I am a fifth grader, this book was interesting because I like dinosaurs.
