When art dealer Alex Hubert brings enigmatic digital artist S. L. Babel's piece to a secretive auction at a pharmaceutical giant's mansion on Star Island in Miami, the artwork's QR code reveals a sinister network. It insinuates the attendees' involvement in a crime ring and forecasts their deaths. As the auction unfolds, the mansion's host is murdered as predicted, and the artwork is stolen. Pursued by the FBI and shadowy figures, Alex and journalist Laura Campbell embark on a journey to decipher the cryptic messages in Babel's works. They unravel a web of crimes stretching across America, unearth buried secrets about Laura's birth, and discover Babel's identity.
