Publisher Description

As an educator, I decided to use my COVID-19 lock-down time to produce a challenging lesson for those students impacted by the virus as well. Personally, I am stranded overseas, my flight cancelled and rescheduled some five times now. This work may reflect some of that frustration, but mostly bewilderment considering the chaotic (failing) efforts of governments. Still, I believe I offer sound work. This lesson is presented in a Sartrenistic tone, his allusion to the absurdity of the world probably the acceptable base, with emphasis on his belief that all things can change. There is also a fair mix of Friedrich Nietzsche and Carl Jung, among others, so there is a measure of substance to be absorbed. My words are enhanced with many quotes by the aforementioned foundational scholars. Of course, I believe I enhance their words as well. The goal is to somewhat prepare a young person destined to inherit this current mess and the years of fallout yet to come. In that it is intended for any reader in any country in any economic situation it does not pander to anyone or anything in anyway; in fact, I direct it to the individual reader, not a class, nor social entity of any concoction. The presentation of the material, having some 20 years of high school teaching experience, is leveraged so as to engage that age group. While older readers are certainly welcomed to engage, I do not believe elders would quite grasp the goals and objectives of the work. Just understand that all proceeds of this work will benefit the Joseph Marcus Barron Memorial Scholarship Fund, and believe me students across this country are going to need the help. Thank you for considering and my deep appreciation for participating.
