A man accustomed to hiding secrets. A woman with a lost past. Love that cannot be denied.
A man accustomed to hiding secrets.
His dark silver eyes are haunted, and for good reason. Logan Lipinstein lost his wife years ago in the war and has been a living shell of a man ever since, attempting to atone for past sins. Until one fateful day, when she walks past him carrying a basket of bread.
A woman with a lost past.
Sienna Ponstance lives in the comfort of her grandmother's estate, having long ago put herself on the shelf as a spinster. She has her charcoals, the village that she loves, and peaceful days—even if something has always been missing from her life. Until the day her tranquility is shattered when a strange man accosts her as she is walking home from the village.
Love reunited.
His wife—dead for ten years—walked along the path in front of Logan. Scarcely believing his eyes, he approaches her and is quickly rewarded with a rebuff that includes the point of a knife. Sienna has no memory of him, thinking him only a ruffian.
Now he just has to convince her that he actually is her husband. And that their boundless love can conquer anything—including a past that threatens them at every turn.

The powers that try to control destiny
Finding your soulmate as a child is not a new theme think sweet Home Alabama. Yes !! but this intriguing story is written by kJ Jackson and there lies the difference. It takes place in the regency period. It is also part of a series This is Logan’s story. This book can stand alone on its own and gave you on the edge of your seat. The others are so wonderful please read them all. Kj’s writing usually has you holding your breath , it takes your emotions all over the place. There is fear, sadness ,anger, joy and love. I think for 1/2 of the book I was holding my breath. I had to know it would work, it would be ok , it was more than true love conquers all. It was fate it was destiny it was right is might. I read this book in one nite. I simply could not put it down. In the end I think one is emotionally exhausted and overjoyed with this story. Yes this is a must read. Grab a cup of tea, a blanket and know you are in for the night. Enjoy
Dark Surrender
I love this book. Erica is the master of historical romance. Every page is filled with intriguing dark mystery. Very well done.
A Love that Lasts Forever
“He knew this would happen. Knew she would die. Leave him alone on this earth. He’d known it from the start. Known it since she was three and he was five. One did not grow old in the world they existed in. For death followed him. It always had:”
Just that quote from the book tore at my heart. This is Logan’s story, one of the men that has been part of this series and managed the guards at The Revelry’s Tempest. He has been a husk of a man since his beloved wife Sierra had died ten years ago and he blamed himself. It had driven his actions in everything he did.
But one amazing day he thinks he sees her and runs to talk to her. Could it be her or was he going crazy! It was her but she had lost her memory and at first did not believe he was her husband
All I can say is this story pulled me in, with darkness and light that exploded at times. Logan, his brother Robbie and Sierra had grown up together under awful circumstances that they only wanted to escape.
The emotions that ran hot and cold brought such sadness but the love these two had was transcendent.
I have enjoyed every book I have read by this wonderful author. Her characters truly come alive alive and this story will make your heart smile at the end.
