Back to Basics
The basic theme is acceptable, but its expression is marred by punctuation errors (unnecessary OR missing), awkward diction (i.e., need for more engaging and imaginative word choices in the narrative), lack of stylistic variety (e.g., "back" appears so closely repeated in one portion that the scope of the author's vocabulary can be questioned). An expert proofreader who has a sense of language is but one element needed to turn this first draft into a memorable story.
