Obsessed!
Still obsessing over this book! The Discovered is the perfect book if you like all things witchy and romantic. It’s the story of 22 year old Aine who was hidden in the human world until she is ready to discover her true self and purpose. When she’s saved by Daelon, her mysterious witch protector, and brought back to the witch realm, she begins her journey to discovering who she really is.
This is such a good book, I literally could not put it down. It has the witchy aesthetic that Maggie Senseri delivers so perfectly, along with a slow burn romance and paranormal fantasy. I loved everything about this book! The relationship development between Aine and Daelon is spicy and endearing. And the world building is just mesmerizing. The ending does leaves you on a MAJOR cliff hanger so be ready to get the second book asap. This is the first book in a series of 5, the last of which that has yet to be released, but I would say it’s definitely worth it and leaves you wanting more!
Too much gratuitous sex
The plot is disrupted by too much sex. The plot and characters are interesting.
Phenomenal Writing
Everything about Maggie’s writing draws you in and keeps you begging for more. Magic, romance, mystery, danger- she delivers it all with depth and vulnerability, making you feel like you’re on the same adventure of self discovery as the main characters. Throw in some fantastic world building and steamy sexual tension and you’ve got your new favorite fantasy series!
