I lived in the heart of Acadia in Louisiana in the late 1970's. It was very enlightening to read about their expulsion from their homes in the north.
The Distant Beacon
Readiing Song of Acadian Book #4 gave me insight as to the horrors of war, the separation of family.s and love stories of those involved. Enjoy every book in this series. My mother and her family lived on the prairie. I have the last book to read now.
Best book by Oke. Such suspense , action and intrigue , I could not put it done til it was finished.
