The Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom is a book of prayers and hymns
used in the Greek Orthodox Church. It is meant to be a guide for the
individual attending the divine service so that they may follow along by
reading the prayers and/or singing the hymns. The book contains the prayers
and hymns in Greek, Greek in English phonetics, an English translation and
an explanation of the Divine Liturgy.
Great potential, but still needs work ...
This is one of the two books often found in the pews of most Greek Orthodox parishes, so I like that it's familiar to me. It has the potential to be the best version of apps on the Divine Liturgy, but two improvements needs to be made: (1) Eliminate the pictures (or at least greatly reduce the number). They take up too much room, requiring the Greek and English print be smaller, and (2) the highlight/note function does not work. No matter how many times I tried on different pages, I was unable to highlight the texts and make notes, which would be a great tool.
