The Donkey Stories

These two stories tell the Christmas and Easter Stories respectively, told from the point of view of the donkeys which carried Mary to Bethlehem and inspired by the Christmas Carol “Little Donkey…” and the one who carried Christ to the temple on Palm Sunday, coupled with the fact that donkeys have streaks below their eyes and crosses over their whithers! They were written in order to make the stories more interesting for Primary School Assemblies at the appropriate times. Although they follow the King James Bible They allow for imagination and poetic licence, as they include flights of fantasy which are definitely not to be found in the Bible. They are an entertaining and informative read for both children and adults.

Rose White is widowed and a retired school teacher, living in Cape Town, South Africa with her Bull Terrier, Piper. She enjoys reading, writing, gardening and adult colouring. She took up horse riding after the death of her husband of nearly twenty-three years and now owns her own horse called Monty, which keeps her busy and active.
