Publisher Description
“There’s never a dull moment with these dragons. Fighting! Mayhem! Danger! . . . a fun read” from the New York Times bestselling author (Vampire Book Club).
I was raised for battle. And as the first daughter of a warrior family, I’ve earned my reputation the hard way. Yet now I fight alongside uncivilized male Northland dragons who think a female is only good for breeding and waiting back home in the cave. But it’s the foolish and foolhardy who would try to stop me, Rhona the Fearless, from doing what I do best—destroying the enemies of my kind.
So the smartest thing wily barbarian Vigholf the Abhorrent can do for me is stay out of my way as we risk all on a deadly mission in enemy territory. I don’t care if he’s fascinated by me, even though he is as attractive as he is resourceful. He’s having far too much fun putting me in difficult situations and testing my sense of duty to the limit. And I’m going to enjoy challenging his insufferable confidence, outwitting his schemes, and making him surrender in the wildest ways . . .

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Bestseller Aiken's fifth Dragon Kin installment (after 2010's Last Dragon Standing) will satisfy series readers but may confuse newcomers unfamiliar with the intricacies of the yearslong war among human/dragon shape-shifters. Brown-scaled she-dragon Rhona the Fearless is a dedicated and effective soldier, known as the Babysitter for raising her battle-hungry mother's hatchlings straight from the egg. For the last five years, she's ignored Vigholf the Abhorrent, a Northlander dragon who seems constantly underfoot and derides the idea of female warriors. As the war against the Iron Dragons escalates, Rhona warms to Vigholf when they pair up for a secret mission. His cheerful, optimistic attitude encourages her affection, and innate sensuality in human form is an added bonus. Unpro-nounceable character and place names muddy the complicated plot, though returning readers will be pleased by cameos from previous protagonists.

It is great
The kindle has this title for $4.79 or I would have bought it for the iBook instead of my iPad!
Fantastic Read
I wish I could have read this book 50 years ago when I was a young man. It would have changed the way I courted a woman. In a good way, I think.
