The Drudges

11 year old Ethan and his 9 year old brother Caden have just moved into an old country home in rural California. Shortly after their arrival their next door neighbor Corbin, a 14 year old with Down Syndrome, invites them to go exploring in an abandoned construction site he calls “The Drudges.” After an afternoon of hiking trails and wooden swords and pretend battles the boys lose Corbin and have no idea how to get back to their new home. Little do they know that the path they choose will lead them through a fold to the earth’s shadow realm and a quest that will involve real swords, real battles and an unbearable sacrifice.
