Top notch
So many romance novels are predictable and cliche. Oh my Lord, this one is not. The characters are complex and lovable, but not boringly perfect - or cute. They are fascinating and unique. There is mystery and suspense. There are villains and one of them has a transformation that is not forced or silly. It is important. And beautiful. The backstories to our leading couple allows for dimension and novelty. You better set aside a few hours because this one will be very hard to put down.

I adore the banter. It is absolutely a delight. I was taking screenshots to share with my offspring.

This author has a gift for wildly, improbably, perfectly romantic scenes and dialogue. If you’re looking for a story that manages to be fanciful and substantive, look no further.
