Publisher Description
Lady Amelia has never been allowed the luxury of wanting things for herself.
A dangerous secret — one that could brand her ruined, or worse, condemn her to Bedlam — has made her survival dependent on a match she never chose: marriage to Charles, Duke of Castleberry, arranged and inevitable.
But Amelia's oldest friend has no intention of standing by. Baron Endsleigh has loved her his whole life, knows every secret she carries, and isn't afraid of a single one of them. Forbidden from claiming her once before, Ender is determined this time nothing will stop him — not propriety, not her father's old decree, and not a duke used to getting exactly what he wants.
Charles won't relinquish Amelia without a fight. He'll destroy the one thing she loves most to keep her — unless the three of them can find a way to want each other without anyone losing everything.
Two men. One woman caught between duty and desire. And a love that may only survive if all three of them are brave enough to surrender.
A sensual, illustrated Victorian romance from Jenn LeBlanc in the Lords of Time world, where passion refuses to follow the rules society has written for it.
Customer Reviews
Decent, but not fabulous story. Annoying pictures.
The story is decent. The plot has a great deal of potential, and the characters have a good base. Unfortunately that is where the good ends. There is an abundance of “descriptions” that don’t really add anything, and in some cases really make it harder to read. Add in the pictures that are just an annoyance and it becomes a chore rather than a joy to read.
