Description de l’éditeur
An ALA Notable Children’s Book, The Eagle is the first in Rosemary Sutcliff’s Carnegie Medal-winning Roman Britain Trilogy—and the basis for the film starring Channing Tatum, Jamie Bell, and Donald Sutherland.
The Ninth Legion marched into the mists of Northern Britain—and they were never seen again. Thousands of men disappeared and their eagle standard was lost. It’s a mystery that’s never been solved, until now…
Marcus has to find out what happened to his father, who led the legion. So he sets out into the unknown, on a quest so dangerous that nobody expects him to return.

It's Fine...
Don't listen to the other review. Admittedly, it's not a great work of literature, but it's an amusing and meaningful children's novel. Eagle of the 9 Hater has no taste, preferring simplistic trash to stories with depth and meaning. And finally, the title is wrong. It's "The Eagle of the Ninth." The movie, which turns the book into the sort of garbage Eagle of the 9 Hater likes, is called "The Eagle."
Dont read this book
This book was the worst book i've ever read. The only reason i read it was because i had to for class. There are much better books you can read. I recomend the hunger games, the rangers aprentice, or any thing by Jonathan Maybarry.
