The Education of Joey G. is a trip back to the 1950s and early 60s seen through the eyes of young Joey Garden, ages six, eleven, fourteen and seventeen, as he grows up in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. Navigating the tricky waters of childhood and youth-peer pressure, his own personal failings, sexual longings, racism, a dark family secret, and many deeply wounded adults who fail him at the worst possible times-he learns who he is and what he can become.
