Perkins’ memoir covers his on-court career—including winning a championship in Boston—but the book’s main focus is his staunch belief that athletes can impact social change. During his pro career, he played with some of the greatest players of his generation, including LeBron James and Kevin Durant, and it’s their character as people that he wishes to explore.
