The Emerald Isle

Elizabeth is the main character and after a disastrous marriage to an abusive, alcoholic husband that eventually dies in a car crash while he was intoxicated, she takes a trip to Ireland with an older gentleman that had befriended her in the restaurant she worked at. He considered her to be the daughter he never had. Elizabeth meets a wonderful Irishman, named Hugh. It's almost love at first sight. The Emerald Isle: I'm Home at Last tells the story of how they met and the progression of their love. It also describes the beautiful country of Ireland and the very friendly, courteous people of Ireland.
