First scan this looks like a solid diet pillar to fitness
I’ve been waiting for this book for awhile now, & I’ve just skimmed through it as soon as I was notified it was finally available. It’s GOOD. It offers a lot of things for people with different schedules, touches on meal planning, helps illuminate details about how nutrients interact with the body. Obviously I need to take time over the next week or two to thoroughly read it & spend the next month or two trying out recipes, but I’m confident my gut instinct (plus previous experience maxing my APFT back when I was a soldier) on the value here was on point. As such, I’m starting with 4 stars & will update after I’ve dived deeply & tested what’s offered. Regardless, I’ve trusted ATK for years to provide awesome recipes, & I’m already confident that the 1-2 punch of this book coupled with The Body You Want With The Time You Have (an exercise book) are the only two books needed for busy individuals to quickly plan a healthy lifestyle.
I’m getting currently preparing for a wedding in October, trying to do my old Army Service Uniform justice. I’ve been following a workout plan in the other book I’ve recommended since the start of the year & this book should finally close the gap with my diet. Based off of how I look at that wedding I’ll be revisiting & updating this review in the hopes to provide proof of how dependent anyone can rely on this book.
