Fell a bit flat for me
A second chance at love book. Rich girl with a poor boy. Family interferes and breaks them up. They are to young to know better so they are torn apart for seven years and then all of a sudden they are back in the same town and Clara has a proposition for Boone. This was a predictable read and I found myself skimming through paragraphs trying to get to the big reveal that it was obviously leading up to. Overall a 3.5 read for me. I did feel the animosity between Ford and Clara as well as between Charlotte and Clara. What I never really felt was the connection between Clara and Boone. Perhaps I just did not connect with Clara. For someone who was living on her own and had a business that was growing and expanding she seemed to immature and I think I just wanted her to be a stronger force and she just fell a bit flat for me.
