The Family

In May of 2013, the Badin High School girls’ soccer team was searching for a head coach. Six months later, the Rams were holding the trophy as the Ohio Division III state champions.

This is their story ... but it’s also the story of an outstanding soccer program that came of age in the mid-1990s and has been a force to be reckoned with since. The names change, but the high expectations and the quality performances do not.

Badin has been to the Ohio state finals eight times since 1995, winning the Division II state title in 2005 in wire-to-wire fashion ... the Rams were ranked No. 1 in the state to start the season, and finished No. 1 at the end.

Throughout it all, the girls have been members of the Badin soccer “family.” The bonds are tight. The traditions are respected. And the Rams work hard to maintain the success of the program.

Winning a state championship is never easy. But when you dream big, care about your teammates, and give maximum effort, anything is possible. That’s what the Badin High School girls’ soccer program is all about. The girls play as a “family”, and the family ties bind yesterday, today and tomorrow.
