I had my doubts about this book in the beginning, I'll admit. I was kinda bummed that they didn't start off with Blue and Maxie's group(the group in The Enemy). I really wanted to hear from them since they weren't in The Dead at all. Honestly, I really didn't like The Fear till I got near the end of it, where you find out the book hasn't really caught up with the end of the Enemy. It's happening while the events in the Enemy are happening. I thought that was pretty cool. Plus it explained a lot of things that happened in the Enemy. It was a very well planned, well written series. I look forward to reading the next book. Very clever Charlie Higson.
Guys! I have good news! This is a 7 book series
What can I say...
I'm a 27 year old male and i love it! This series just keeps getting better and better... By far the best series I have read and probably will read for long while. It has everything you could ask for in a apocalyptic/"zombie" type book. He makes you feel for his characters in a way most authors dream of doing. On the last two books I was actually very down that I only had 50 more pages or so to go. I would have been sad with the first one too but I had the second one lined up and ready to go at that point. I'm so glad he decided to make it into a 7 book series. Yeah I won't like the wait for each one but it will give me something to look forward too. Cause once the last book ends it end then what? So very nice job on your books Mr Higson I def can't wait for the rest of your work.
