Since 1997, The Four Agreements has transformed the lives of millions of people around the world with a simple but profound message.
Now bestselling author don Miguel Ruiz and his son, don Jose Ruiz, collaborate with this powerful sequel The Fifth Agreement.
The Four Agreements provides the foundation for breaking thousands of agreements that create needless suffering and with The Fifth Agreement you recover all the power of your authenticity, which is who you really are when you are born.
This inspirational fable by Brazilian author and translator Coelho has been a runaway bestseller throughout Latin America and seems poised to achieve the same prominence here. The charming tale of Santiago, a shepherd boy, who dreams of seeing the world, is compelling in its own right, but gains resonance through the many lessons Santiago learns during his adventures. He journeys from Spain to Morocco in search of worldly success, and eventually to Egypt, where a fateful encounter with an alchemist brings him at last to self-understanding and spiritual enlightenment. The story has the comic charm, dramatic tension and psychological intensity of a fairy tale, but it's full of specific wisdom as well, about becoming self-empowered, overcoming depression, and believing in dreams. The cumulative effect is like hearing a wonderful bedtime story from an inspirational psychiatrist. Comparisons to The Little Prince are appropriate; this is a sweetly exotic tale for young and old alike. 50,000 first printing; $50,000 ad/promo.

Powerful book of Self Discovery
I read the first book, The Four Agreements, some years ago, and it was life changing, sending me on a path to re-discover who I really am. This book, The Fifth Agreement, does a great job bringing it all back, full circle. Chapter 4 is a MUST read for everyone who "thinks" they are not happy with themselves, others or life in general. It is my "intent" with this review to help you see that you are already beautiful and thus have already "won". There is no need to prove it to anyone, least of all, to yourself. This book is a Impeccable use of the force to the Word. Thank you Don Miguel and Don Jose for reminding us of the truth.
The Fifth Agreement
This book was really hard to get into. It got a lot better towards the end. Maybe I am not quite ready mentally for the information it shared. This is the first book I have read by the authour and it has not inspired me to read more.
This is such an awesome book! Definitely will be a book I read over and over again!
