The First Christmas

The true story of the night Jesus was born, told simply and truthfully for children ages six to twelve. From the ancient promise of a Savior, to an angel's visit to Mary, to the long road to Bethlehem, the stable, the manger, the shepherds in the fields, the angels singing glory to God in the highest — every detail here comes straight from the Bible. Where Scripture is silent, this book does not invent: the wise men, for example, are shown the way Scripture shows them, finding Jesus in a house, not the stable — because true stories deserve to be told truthfully. December is the perfect month for this little book, one chapter a night leading up to Christmas Day, but the story is worth telling all year long. Every chapter ends with a Do (a small Christmas-season activity) or a Pray (a short prayer your child can repeat). Illustrated edition with pictures throughout. Perfect for ages 6–12.
