The First People of Canada

First People of Canada explores cultures of the Micmac, Huron, Blackfoot, Haida, and Inuit peoples before European contact. Each chapter describes the unique cultural characteristics of a people and a nearly extinct way of life. Perhaps by understanding these ancient societies we can learn to appreciate how humans today change their environment and rediscover ways to live in harmony with nature.
