A sequel to a prequel...
The First Sir Percy is a direct sequel to The Laughing Cavalier, which is a prequel to The Scarlet Pimpernel.
As with most prequels and sequels, The First Sir Percy isn't quite as good as the original source material, but, nevertheless, the story is full of mystery, intrigue, action, and romance. A fun and entertaining read if you are looking for an old-fashioned thrilling adventure!
