Don’t waste your time
As a fan of the CW DC lineup, I was super interested to delve deeper into the tie-in material. The shows are by no means the pinnacle of writing, but the characters have a certain charm to them and love their interactions. All of that is thrown out the window here. The characterization are so off, the dialogue sounds like everyone swallowed a thesaurus, and the author’s voice is just bizarre. I had to reread several sentences over and over again. I felt like I was having a stroke.
All of that aside, the plot isn’t interesting either. Nothing happens. Barry runs around. Iris whines, Caitlin has a headache, and the Weather Wizard hovers ominously.
I love reading. I’ve read a few duds before, but I can usually find something I like about them.
I can’t do that with this book.
