We’re confident you’ll find The Friend Zone as delightful as we did, whether it’s your first romance novel or your 107th. Kristen and Josh’s first meeting can’t quite be called auspicious, but the more they get to know each other, the harder it becomes to stay away. Despite how much they like each other, there’s a problem—or, actually, many problems. Abby Jimenez’s emotionally complex story doesn’t shy away from the complicated realities of life, diving into infertility, family expectations, and relationship obligations. As Kristen and Josh attempt to sort out their issues, Jimenez’s witty and acerbic writing kept us laughing even when we were holding back tears.

Pulled on my heart strings
The book was so cute but broke my heart at the same time. I will admit that it was frustrating at times how difficult one character made things but I understand why. Overall, I enjoyed the book.
Amazing!!
This book was so relatable on so many levels, and a quick easy read (if staying up all night because you cane put it down is considered easy). I completely fell in love with the story, the characters, and the Mid West references!
Fun and flirty
Love the back and forth viewpoints from Josh and Kristen. Lots of ups and downs, will they/won’t they and cmon just get together already!
