Fall in love with this hilarious and heartwarming romantic comedy that USA Today bestselling author LJ Shen calls "an absolute treat."
Instant USA Today bestseller!
Kristen Peterson doesn't do drama, will fight to the death for her friends, and has no room in her life for guys who just don't get her. She's also keeping a big secret: facing a medically necessary procedure that will make it impossible for her to have children.
Planning her best friend's wedding is bittersweet for Kristen -- especially when she meets the best man, Josh Copeland. He's funny, sexy, never offended by her mile-wide streak of sarcasm, and always one chicken enchilada ahead of her hangry. Even her dog, Stuntman Mike, adores him. The only catch: Josh wants a big family someday. Kristen knows he'd be better off with someone else, but as their attraction grows, it's harder and harder to keep him at arm's length.
The Friend Zone will have you laughing one moment and grabbing for tissues the next as it tackles the realities of infertility and loss with wit, heart, and a lot of sass.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
We’re confident you’ll find The Friend Zone as delightful as we did, whether it’s your first romance novel or your 107th. Kristen and Josh’s first meeting can’t quite be called auspicious, but the more they get to know each other, the harder it becomes to stay away. Despite how much they like each other, there’s a problem—or, actually, many problems. Abby Jimenez’s emotionally complex story doesn’t shy away from the complicated realities of life, diving into infertility, family expectations, and relationship obligations. As Kristen and Josh attempt to sort out their issues, Jimenez’s witty and acerbic writing kept us laughing even when we were holding back tears.

This book was so relatable on so many levels, and a quick easy read (if staying up all night because you cane put it down is considered easy). I completely fell in love with the story, the characters, and the Mid West references!
Loved this book!
This is one of those rare books that you want to read forever and never want to end. It had me laughing from witty humor one minute and crying the next. I usually don’t write reviews, but highly recommend this one!
Funny and catchy but also cheesy
I didn’t expect the twist of events with Brandon, but it did make the story line stronger. The author did a great job of painting the story in front of the reader to picture every detail. I didn’t like the fights of the same things over and over, repeating the same thing and the details that just made the plot unnecessarily longer. I think it could have been shorter a bit by omitting the details, and I mean the “cheesy” ones. It was a light read after all, and it did bring up good points when exploring femininity, respect, and strength in the book.
