Publisher Description
For years, Elisabeth Hasselbeck couldn't figure out what was making her sick. She asked doctors and consulted nutritionists, but no one seemed to have any answers. It wasn't until spending time in the Australian Outback, living off the land on the grueling Survivor TV show, that, ironically, her symptoms vanished. Returning home, she pinpointed the food that made her sick -- gluten, the binding element in wheat. By simply eliminating it from her diet, she was able to enjoy a completely normal, healthy life. But that wasn't all. Hasselbeck discovered the myriad benefits that anyone can enjoy from a gluten-free diet: from weight loss and increased energy to even the alleviation of the conditions of autism.
In this all-inclusive book, Hasselbeck shares her hard-earned wisdom on living life without gluten and loving it. She gives you everything you need to know to start living a gluten-free life, from defining gluten - where to find it, how to read food labels - to targeting gluten-free products, creating G-Free shopping lists, sharing recipes, and managing G-Free living with family and friends.

Going G-free
Such a great book, it is very useful to anyone starting a gluten free diet. She provides tips on what to eat, how to shop and what to avoid. I would defiantly recommend this to anyone that has just found out they have celiac disease, an intolerance or just wants to be healthier on a Gluten free diet. This book makes the entire process much easier!
Wow! fantastic !!
Thank you Elizabeth for this great book. As I read it I felt like I was reading about me! I "self diagnosed" myself finally June 2010. I began eating gluten free and most of my symptoms have disappeared. Even my doctor dismisses my findings and says gluten free "diets" are just a fad! You can imagine my frustration. At this point I don't need a doctor to tell me what I already know, I either have an intolerance or celiac. All I know is I will never eat gluten again. Thank you for writing this book in an easy to follow and easy to understand way. I can't thank you enough.
thanks for this book
While i don't like EH's politics, this is the best book on living Gluten Free that I have read so far. Thanks to Elisabeth for writing this.
