The beginning to a trilogy coming of age story through sports. I love the down to earth feel this book gives. I could see parallels in Ken Puckett’s trials, failure, and self-confidence building with my own life. The Game, The Fight, and The Last fight are all wonderful books with each one showing different steps up the ladder of adulthood for Ken. This is a relaxing read that can maybe have you thinking back to your time growing up and different things that may have shaped you to the person you are now, whether it was sports, or something else!
