Customer Reviews
Excellent New Series Start
This book is one of the best I’ve read in forever. Great characters who resonate. May trigger some readers with concerns regarding the abuse of children but ultimately, good wins out.
Could not put this book down!
Fast paced with characters who felt real. Found myself holding my breath in a few places, horrified in some and smiling in others. This is the third book I’ve read by this author and have enjoyed them all!
Fantastic Read
The Getaway is a very dark romantic suspense story focusing on Sam, a U.S. Deputy Marshal, and Lucia, who has stolen two children from her extremely rich boss after finding out he has sexually abused one of them. Sam must decide if he should turn Lucia over to the authorities and return the children, or help keep the children from their depraved father. I am glad I decided to read this book by Hope Anika and will definitely be reading more of her books in the future.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
