The Gettysburg Campaign

This is a graphic history of the  Gettysburg Campaign, which culminated in the three-day battle in Pennsylvania, 1-3 July 1863. This was the bloodiest battle ever in North America, and the bloodiest battle outside Asia between 1814 and 1914. Considered the turning point of the American Civil War, this history includes the origins of the campaign, including those factors leading up to the campaign, as well as the short and longer-term effects. 


The text is integrated with comprehensive static and animated maps giving a minute by minute description of the course of the battle and the campaign.  It focusses in on the key events, giving clear accounts of these events, supported by static and animated maps.  Also included is a detailed bibliography.
