Publisher Description

The Ghost in my iPad, is about a middle-school boy, helped by a ghost, who solves the mystery surrounding a serial kidnapper.
For close to a year, someone has been abducting a school girl each holiday. Jengo Allbright wants to find who is responsible for the kidnappings and rescue the girls so they can return to their families. With the help of a friendly ghost and trusted friends, he begins a search for them. Will Jengo catch the Holiday Snatcher and save the girls before the next holiday?

Intended for Tweens, The Ghost in my iPad is not a horror story, but one that demonstrates how working together is not only fun, but also can solve problems that couldn’t be solved working alone.

“Ghost” shot up to number 15 on HarperCollins’ list for Weekly Top Picks in 50 days at Authonomy.

"What a gem of a story you have here! I read the first two chapters and was very impressed. Really nice pace and rhythm and good consistency in voice and level. The dialogue is natural and flows well."
Dear EL and EC,I just love the way you write.‘The Ghost in my iPad’ is a perfect read for a stormy night.A steaming mug of coffee would be more than welcome to go with it.The narrative has the unmistakable signature of seasoned writers.Beginning with the mysterious four-liner, the narrative moves at an excellent pace – never dragging, yet never failing to address the right points. The conversation between mother and son was heart-warming, Mom’s reaction to the news report was plausible in an optimistic-protective way and the report itself was a brilliant way to develop the creepy plot. Mom placing an additional plate on the dinner table was such a touching scene. The narrative is full of such finely conceived sequences that build plot and develop character with unparalleled flair. The simple and elegant writing will appeal to the tastes of young and old alike. The stormy night, the fear of a lurking predator and the weird faraway voice created an atmosphere of mystery and taut suspense that’s bound to keep the reader engrossed. My rating: 6 Stars, but I would’ve given it 7 if I could. :) I look forward to reading the rest. AGC HarperCollins Authonomy

"Really liked the characterization throughout -Candy Ball was great (love the name) and I loved how you showed (not told) Mum's sense of loss through a very touching scene when she set an extra place at the table. A nice sense of intrigue building about the mystical i-pad and the Holiday Snatcher - two great competing and complimentary plots!
6 stars highly recommended..."
