The Gilded Age The Gilded Age

Publisher Description

The Gilded Age, is a historic story set in the time of Ulysses S. Grant's presidency which is highly critical of his administration. Portion of the novel was later published separately and some play adaptations were based on his character Colonel Sellers. Although the book was not particularly well-received, its title provided the name by which the post-Civil War boom era in American history is still known.

It's ok

I love Mark Twain, he is my favorite author. But this book wasn't the greatest. It was about 40% of the way into the book before it started getting good.
