The Golden Goose

Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm were german folklorists who lived in the 18th-19th centuries. They are mostly famous for collecting and publishing fairy-tales. Nowadays it's hard to find a person who hasn't heard about Cinderella, Rapunzel or Snow White!

The beginning of 'The Golden Goose' is quite typical of many other fairy-tales: a man had three sons, the first son was smart, the second one was not so smart, and the third one was was… ergh… dumm. So was his name: Dummling. One day the the elder brother went to hew wood and got punished for his greed. Then the middle brother went and got punished as well. But when the younger brother went to hew wood he showed not greed but generousity and was rewarded… with the goolden goose. What adventures was ahead of him?
