APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Karin Slaughter’s terrifying thriller isn’t for the faint of heart, but those who dare plunge into this story will be rewarded with wall-to-wall suspense, surprisingly real characters, and the bestselling author’s trademark smart and shockingly dark storytelling. Charlie Quinn is a small-town lawyer who can’t escape her father’s notoriety or the violent tragedy that shattered her youth. When she becomes a witness to a horrific crime, Charlie’s submerged memories break through. The Good Daughter thoroughly rattled us.

Don’t waste your money
This book was awful. As one reviewer noted, It’s terribly repetitive and redundant, some of the characters’ memories are retold too many times. Honestly, just subpar writing and unnecessary details, like “she wiped her eyes with her fingers”. I expected to devour this book and had to force myself to finish it because I kept holding out hope that it would get better. Alas, it did not; this will probably be the last Karen Slaughter book I will ever read.
The Good Daughter
As someone that has read all of Karen Slaughter’s books, I can honestly say this book is a true disappointment. If there was a lower rating than one star, I would have given it. It was a waste of time and money. I was disappointed that perhaps her writing has deteriorated this far.
The Good Daughter
Wow, what a ride! This one definitely did not disappoint. Karin Slaughter has hit another homer up with this one. I can't wait for more stories. Pieces of Her has been preordered.
