Publisher Description

[Michele Lowrance’s] advice is healing and revolutionary. She is clear-headed and open-hearted.” —Julia Cameron, bestselling author of The Artist’s Way

The Good Karma Divorce is that rare guidebook that offers a concrete path to transforming painful experience into positive action. Family Judge Michele Lowrance, who experienced her parents’ divorce and two of her own, has developed what Karen Mathis, past president of the American Bar Association, describes as an “inspired and uplifting alternative to the agonizing divorce process.” Over the past four years, Judge Lowrance has seen literally one hundred percent of divorcing couples who applied the practices described in The Good Karma Divorce avoid trial. Firmly entrenched in real-world applicability, The Good Karma Divorce is a must-read not only for people in any phase of a divorce, but for psychologists, psychiatrists, attorneys, judges, and social workers, as well.

What if husband is a jerk?

I got lucky and married a guy that has NO COMMON SENSE WHATSOEVER.... no exaggerating! So, is there a book for stupid people? He initiated the filings, and we don't speak - every stitching thing goes through the atty's. So far my atty fee's are over $6K, and he will eventually have to pay that & it doesn't include his atty fees - which should be about the same amount. How do you teach a stupid person to check out this kind of book....??? Or should I just give him enough rope to hang himself with???

Good read for those divorcing

My husband and I have separated and although we've chosen to postpone our divorce, and although its amicable, we're still having a hard time. This book has given me invaluable advice and the exercises are well thought out. I definitely plan to re-read this and keep coming back to it when times get tough. I definitely recommend it to anyone going through a divorce, be it just beginning or even finalized, especially if kids are involved.
