Fun and frisky romp in the heartland
This book is funny and more lighthearted than the Downey books. I enjoyed the Downey Trilogy a great deal because of all the drama and family dynamics, and while The Good Life characters bring less angst, there's still a ton of quirky family dynamics and interesting characters. There were plenty of steamy scenes and romantic moments that left a bit of a cheesy grin on my face, but I think what I enjoyed most was all the family and friend interactions; these characters felt like real people I'd like to hang out with and I wouldn't mind more stories with them. Any book that makes me want to know what happens next to even the tertiary characters is a win in my estimation.

The Good Life brings back well-loved characters in a new adventure full of intrigue & laughs! A great summer read!
