A notorious rake and eccentric genius, he fights crime in armor of his own design and celebrates his achievements with the merriest of widows. What the ton doesn't know is that Hart has received a warning: danger is heading for London and it's looking for Sarah Shipton.
Sarah discovers the bookshop her mother owns is failing and they will have nothing to live on when the month is out. So when the Earl of Hartland offers for her, she agrees to the marriage. But marrying Hart throws Sarah from the frying pan of imminent poverty into the fire of a world filled with science and peril she never knew existed.
How will Sarah cope with the knowledge that someone wants her dead? Can Hart keep her safe from a person hell bent on her destruction?
This medium (3-4 hour read) novel is a steamy Regency romance with a happily ever after, no cliffhangers, and is part of a series that can be read in any order.

An Intriguing Story
Intrigue, suspense, mystery and romance! What more could you ask for and this story has it all!! Part of a series The Heart of A Hero, I have not read the other books but this can be read as a standalone. What a marvelous concept of each hero has their own persona. Andrew Elliott, the Earl of Hartland is not your typical peer. By day, Andrew is a rake and a charmer and a little eccentric. By night he is somewhat of a superhero for that time and wears armor that he made himself. He apprehends wrongdoers and turns them over to the authorities to be punished. Does this remind you of anyone in our present day marvel hero's? What a great characterization. Society does not know what to think but they love what he is doing! What everyone does not know is that he is part of an intelligent ring founded by the Duke of Wellington and has members far and wide gathering information. Sarah Shipton works in her family bookstore and she and Andrew know each other well by him frequenting that establishment. They have had great discussions and he has respect for her knowledge and calm manner. When he receives knowledge that Sarah is in danger, one thing leads to another and they end up married. Not to give anything away of the story. the twists and turns will keep you glued to the pages with some surprises. Cora Lee has a wonderful way with words and making you feel part of the story. I cannot wait to read more of her books and more of this series. Well done! I was gifted a copy of this book.
