Publisher Description
From Bible teacher John MacArthur, a revelatory exploration of what the apostle Paul actually taught about the Good News of Jesus.
The apostle Paul penned a number of very concise, focused passages in his letters to the early church that summarize the gospel message in just a few well-chosen words. Each of these key texts has a unique emphasis highlighting some essential aspect of the Good News of Jesus Christ. The chapters in this revelatory new book closely examine those vital gospel texts, one verse at a time.
John MacArthur, host of the popular media ministry Grace to You, tackles such questions as:
What is the gospel? What are the essential elements of the message? How can we be certain we have it right? And how should Christians be proclaiming the Good News to the world?
As always, the answers John MacArthur gives are clear, compelling, well-reasoned, easy to grasp, and above all, thoroughly biblical. The Gospel According to Paul is written in a style that is easily accessible to lay people, including those who know very little about the Bible, while being of great value to seasoned pastors and experienced ministers.
The Gospel According to Paul is the third in a series of books on the gospel by John MacArthur including – The Gospel According to Jesus and The Gospel According to the Apostles. The Gospel According to Paul is also available in Spanish, Evangelio según Pablo.
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
In his usual straightforward, pastoral, and clear style, best-selling author MacArthur (The Gospel According to Jesus) plunges deeply into Paul's letters to make a very simple point: there is only one true gospel that Jesus preached, and Paul did not depart from Jesus's teaching in any way. MacArthur recounts Paul's biography dogmatic Jewish teacher, persecutor of early Christians, convert to Christianity, staunch evangelist for the Christian faith and then carefully lays out the gospel according to Paul. As he deftly illustrates, Paul's gospel preaches the key elements of Jesus's message: all are guilty of sin and seek to find a way out of that condition; the only path out of sin is through accepting by faith alone that Christ alone offers salvation for sins and reconciliation with God; the grace of atonement reconciliation of God through Christ emboldens us to live in hope and love. MacArthur's distinct and perceptive book offers an accessible exposition of sometimes challenging theological concepts.

Did Paul write this book?
To read the title you would think Paul wrote it.
But he didn’t. John MacArthur wrote it.
So it is the “gospel” according to John MacArthur, not according to Paul.
And you people believe him?
Who appointed him?
Who made him judge?
Why don’t you just read it for yourself since we are told that everyone can easily understand Scripture.
So much for all this private interpretation.
But if Scripture is so easy then why all these commentaries?
Can you just read Scripture for yourself or do you need to buy this book or you won’t understand?
