The Emperium is in flux. Enemies in the shadows threaten to tear it apart. Time is growing short for Judes.

With every life he takes with his gun, Judes is becoming something else. Something otherworldly. His every footstep draws him deeper into the chaos around him, forcing him to kill. Then he is offered a job he cannot refuse: finish a fight he thought was already over, or doom the Emperium.

Iloret Grayleaves, Emperium statesman, conspiritor, traitor. Tormented by the thing inside him, he flees for his life from everyone he has double-crossed – his former Queen, an ancient evil and the one to whom the power of god had been promised.

Their lives are entwined, the fate of nations in their hands. Both walk the path of damnation. But will they find redemption before it's too late?
