Nathaniel Hawthorne was one of the greatest writers in American literature.  Hawthorne was born in Salem, Massachusetts which was the home of the infamous witch trials.  Hawthorne’s great-great grandfather was one of the judges for the trials and much of his writing centered around that time period.  This edition of The Great Stone Face includes a table of contents.
