The Healer in the Mist

The Mist came, and the bodies of those gone and lovingly put to rest long ago came with it...and they were angry.   

Magic is replaced with fear and desolation, and each day is a battle to survive, adapt, run, or hide. Althea remembers the time before the Immortuos, the Purple Mist, the nightmares - she may be the only Healer left with the enchantments to stop it. 

Life for her wasn't always isolation, panic, and dread. She was once surrounded by devotion, fulfillment, and the arms of her lover that was nearly euphoric. All of that was gone now, and the battle is ahead.

But in her way, there is a demon and always fear. A fear beyond the Immortuous and Purple Mist. To do battle, she must face a past that took her to her Majesty's court and the love that consumed her and passionately, violently devoured her. Now, to save the soul of the world, she must do battle with the devil himself.   

Fear is present in the never knowing, and nothing in this world embraces anymore.
