The Heart of Fran’s Kitchen
The recipes in this book are delicious and easy to follow, the presentation is beautiful. The reader gets right to the heart of Fran’s kitchen, and is in for some great meals!
Great for Busy Home Cooks
My wife and I both work, and we also take turns making dinner. The book is great for recipes you can make in advance or throw together quickly after a long day. Clear and easy to follow even when you are tired or distracted.
Food for the Body AND Soul
This is my first iBook cookbook and what a perfect introduction to using one. I am hooked! This would not have happened without the combination of the superb recipes, excellent commentary, and truly sumptuous photos with the technology. Fran Silverman is obviously more than just a capable cook. She conveys her passion for food and makes you feel like her new best friend. The recipes are for all skill levels and cover the globe. this range is another strength of these recipes. No silly fusion, just taking the best from many traditions. I tried the red cabbage with apples and bacon as it is still that kind of weather in New England and there were no leftovers. I am looking forward to summer to try the cold soups and especially the tomato and watermelon salad. My husband is urging the Limoncello. The Heart of Fran's Kitchen is definitely not your mother's Fanny Farmer. A terrific gift book.
