Publisher Description

Do-Jung-Ishu, was a martial arts club started at The Ohio State University in 1983 by an enigmatic martial artist name Fred Karimain. Fred didn't set out to create a new martial arts system, but only to share his love and knowledge of martial arts with those who were as dedicated to training as he. Fred was not your usual martial artist, he rose above the typical; using the concepts of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do to guide his training and teaching. The Do-Jung-Ishu club at OSU went on to have a tremendous impact in the lives of hundreds of students. In this book, Darin Waugh, documents the club's progression in training principles and philosophy such that the knowledge and experience in this book will contribute greatly to anyone interested in the "art of fighting." For the story of Do-Jung-Ishu is much more than how everyday people become great martial artists and people of spirited character, but it is also a saga of brotherhood.
