Darkness looms at the edges of the Sanctuary.
Months have passed since the fourteen Conformed faced the Martial Challenge
issued by House Vardan. The holidays are approaching, and Robyn Aengus has
settled into life and training on Caprian Island, Virginia. All seems quiet, and with
Christmas swiftly approaching, her only worry is who will accept invitation to the
island festivities.
Despite the quiet, Kyle Gruder isnt convinced that all is well. Vardan accepted his terms
and swore to leave the Conformed alone for a generation or face the consequences:
death. While Vardan values his life, Kyle knows that his old foe wont give up. The real
question is when and how Vardan will strike next. House Emberton lives, and as long
as the house of seers remains, Vardan will endeavor to condemn the seers and all the
houses that stand with them. Can they escape the hunter unscathed?
